A Permit By Notification (PBN)

A PBN can be used in place of a standard Building Permit if the work you are intending to do is considered “replacement in kind”.  Please fill out the information contained on the attached file and submit to the Building Department for review.  The Code Enforcement Officer will review your request and issue an approval if the scope of work fits the criteria of a PBN.  If the scope of work is beyond what would be considered a PBN, the application will be denied and a Construction Permit will be required.

By submitting and signing this permit, the property owner understands they are responsible for contacting the Code Enforcement Officer for any necessary inspections, including but not limited to Plumbing, Gas and Electrical.
