Town Beach
The Town Beach is a residential, non-commercial facility available to residents of Center Harbor and Moultonborough and their guests.
Hours & Access
- Open daily 6:00 AM – 10:00 PM, May 1 through October 15. No admittance outside these hours.
Rules
- No smoking on the Town Beach.
- No pets on the Town Beach.
- No feeding ducks — $10 fine will be assessed.
Parking
- A valid Facility Use and Beach Permit or parking pass must be displayed on any vehicle parked in the upper lot behind the Town Beach and on Lake Street.
- Fine for parking without a valid permit: $75
Town Dock

Kayaks launch next to the Canoe House on the Center Harbor Inn side. Kayaks are not permitted in the boat launch area.
Docking Rules
- After launching, boats have 5 minutes to move and tie up at the side dock adjacent to the launch ramp.
- Maximum docking time: 3 hours — a $35 fine will be assessed for exceeding this limit.
- No docking or mooring between 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM — a $250 fine will be assessed.
Safety & General Rules
- No bare feet on the docks (safety requirement).
- Children 10 and under must be accompanied by an adult 18 years of age or older.
- Pets must be leashed at all times on the docks.
- No swimming or diving off the docks.
- No smoking on the docks.
- No magnet fishing or metal detecting off the docks.
Boat Launch Parking (Lake Street / Dock Road)
Who May Park
- Center Harbor taxpayers and residents park free with proof of residency or taxpayer status.
- Non-residents may park with boat trailers in the designated area after paying the $25 boat launch fee.
Where to Park
- Boat trailers must park in the grass area to the right of the basketball court (Center Harbor Inn side) and along the access road near the basketball court.
- No boat trailer parking in the upper Town Beach lot from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
- No boat trailer parking on Main Street or Route 25.
Violations
- Fine for boat/trailer parking violations: $35, plus towing at the owner’s expense.
- No overnight parking between 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM — a $35 fine will be assessed.
High Haith Boat Launch
The High Haith Boat Launch is for the exclusive use of Center Harbor residents and their guests.
A valid Facility Use and Beach Permit or parking pass is required from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
Fine for parking without a valid pass: $75
