Notice of Lake Lowering – Lake Waukewan

Dated: July 1, 2026

Pursuant to an order issued June 26, 2026 by the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services (NHDES), Dam Bureau, Lake Waukewan will be lowered to a level that is six-inches (6”) below its traditional summer elevation of 540’ ASL. This adjusted lake level will be maintained until fall lake drawdowns commence during the month of October, 2026. Lake Waukewan is being lowered to facilitate repairs to the outlet control works and to provide additional water storage during storm events.
